Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

PIERS Morgan has taken aim at Lydia Bright's mum on Twitter after she complained about his negativity surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

The 55-year-old presenter told former Towie star Debbie to "go follow a Love Islander" after she slammed his coverage on Good Morning Britain.

The online spat started soon after a Twitter user wrote: "Can’t deal with Piers Morgan anymore. "Started well asking some important questions now all he wanna do is bring people in, interrupt them and try to embarass them and be negative. "He's lost the plot .

Someone from his household give him a big cuddle and tell him to relax." Debbie - who left Towie in 2013 - agreed with the tweet, saying: "I said the same yesterday...I truly cannot deal with his negativity.
