Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan insisted his "passionate" interviewing approach has been misconstrued as "bullying" on Good Morning Britain today.

The 55-year-old presenter had a bone to pick with the British government today, with MPs refusing invitations to appear on the show.

Piers outlined a number of questions he would like to ask MPs about testing during the coronavirus crisis, growing increasingly angry.

He said he had been accused of "bullying" ministers when he asked them questions in a "passionate way". The statement comes after hundreds of viewers contacted Ofcom to complain about Piers' interviewing technique on the show, accusing the GMB host of "bullying" behaviour.
