Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

PIERS Morgan has taken yet another swipe at BBC Breakfast's Dan Walker over falling viewing figures on the show. The Good Morning Britain presenter, 55, took aim at his TV rival after it was revealed the BBC show had reached its highest share figure in a decade.

Celebrating the achievement on Twitter, BBC Breakfast wrote: "Wake up with @BBCBreakfast where since the start of 2020 the TV audience share is the HIGHEST for TEN YEARS at 41%. "More than 11-million viewers watching every week making #BBCBreakfast the No.1 show." Although it didn't take long for Piers to highlight GMB's own success in recent days.

He retweeted the snap, writing: "UPDATE: * BBC Breakfast had its lowest viewership yesterday since Jan 31. "GMB's had its 2 highest ever.
