Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan boldly compared the coronavirus to the Spanish Flu on Good Morning Britain today as he said a second wave "will be devastating".

The 55-year-old was on presenting with his co-star Susanna Reid and having a conversation with the show's doctor, Dr Hilary, when Piers erupted into the "scary" rant.

While talking about lockdown rules being eased, Piers began speaking louder as he mocked the UK for "only giving it two months".

He said: "Let's be honest, we've lasted two months The World War generation gave it nearly six years. We gave it two months then we all 'Nah, nope, sorry we're done with this'." Susanna and Dr Hilary went quiet as Piers continued to vent out his feelings live on air.
