Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

PIERS Morgan is convinced his coronavirus scare was actually just hay fever after testing negative. The 55-year-old feared he had the deadly bug when he suffered several symptoms earlier this month.

He was forced to take a week off presenting Good Morning Britain until a doctor said he was fit to return - leaving fans devastated.

Today he has revealed he was suffering from the "worst hay fever ever" - and it was similar to the symptoms he suffered when it was feared he had COVID-19. "Worst hay fever I've ever had," said Piers. "Know pollen count's very high, but anyone else getting it so bad?
