Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan confirms Good Morning Britain role upped to four days a week

Piers Morgan's combative stance with politicians during the coronavirus pandemic has seen him gain an extra morning on breakfast TV.

The 55-year-old has seen his Good Morning Britain role upped by a day, with Ben Shepherd's presenting days presumably cut down to just one day.

The former Britain's Got Talent judge told his Twitter followers on Wednesday that from Thursday he would be on our screens four mornings a week for the "foreseeable future".

While coronavirus continues to keep the country in lockdown, Piers will be co-presenting Good Morning Britain from Monday to Thursday.
