Piers Morgan has revealed that he has been sent death threats as calls for him to be sacked by Good Morning Britain mount. A petition has been started online to have the 55-year-old TV presenter removed from the ITV breakfast show after a number of "combative" interviews with ministers during the coronavirus outbreak.

Piers will be pleased that a rival petition to keep him has more signatures than the 50,000 plus that have asked for him to go but some trolls are going the extra mile to get under his skin.

He has hit back at them, telling his critics that the petition and the online threats are only steeling his desire to take the Government to task over their handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
