Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has revealed his father is taking controversial drug hydroxychloroquine - the same medicine US President Donald Trump has been championing to help ward off coronavirus.
Unlike Trump, who is taking the medication in the belief it will stop him contracting Covid-19 despite medical concern, Piers' dad Mr Morgan is taking it due to suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.
Explaining the situation on GMB, Piers said: "I was speaking to my parents last night and my dad suddenly pipes up because he's been on hydroxychloroquine. "So my dad had a few outbursts of rheumatoid arthritis and he got put on this hydroxychloroquine for that, and he's been really good with it. "Six years he's been on it, and he's not had
