Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan revealed the coronavirus pandemic has cost him his friendship with Lord Alan Sugar. The Good Morning Britain host has been jokingly feuding with the Apprentice star for years, but things have now gone too far, he revealed.

Speaking to The Sunday Times on their Twitter rows, Piers explained: ‘It’s gone way beyond a joke, and for me it’s ruined our friendship. ‘I think we’re done as friends.

I can’t see through the behaviour.’ Piers has previously attacked the government’s reaction to Covid-19, but Lord Sugar blasted his coverage of the health scare, suggesting it had been ‘irresponsible’ at times.
