Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Many have been wondering when Piers Morgan is returning to Good Morning Britain. The broadcaster was forced to ditch his hosting duties on the ITV morning show after revealed that he was suffering mild coronavirus symptoms.

He shared on Twitter on Sunday night that he was tested for the deadly bug and was awaiting the results. The next day he confirmed that he was not suffering from Covid-19 but he was not going to return to work until his doctor gave him the go ahead.

He is still yet to return to present GMB with Susanna Reid and in his absence TV favourite Ben Shephard has been holding down the fort.
