Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan thinks his coronavirus scare was caused by 'worst hay fever ever'

Piers Morgan says he's convinced that his coronavirus symptoms were caused by hay fever. The Good Morning Britain presenter, 55, tested negative for the COVID-19 virus after displaying symptoms earlier this month.

He was forced to take a week away from the studio until doctors gave him the all-clear to return. And he now says he thinks he was actually just suffering from terrible hay fever.

Taking to Twitter today, he posted: "Worst hay fever I've ever had. "Know pollen count's very high, but anyone else getting it so bad?

Any theories as to why? Is reduced pollution during lockdown a factor?" One of his followers replied: "I was wondering the same thing, plus whether anyone else is having to reassure strangers the pollen-fuelled-sneeze
