Three cheers as Glassford Beer and Gin Festival returns

Lanarkshire locals are set to raise a glass as Glassford Beer and Gin Festival returns after a year hiatus.The village bordering the market town of Strathaven will come to a standstill with 900 revellers expected to descend on the popular event on Saturday March 23.Brewers and independent brands from across Scotland will flock to Avondale for the big day, with music and taste-testing events from a number of local beers, gin and rum suppliers, select drams and food on offer.

Glassford Community Group will also be running a wines and spirits bar.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
