Ianis Hagi's wedding was broadcast live on TV in his homeland as the Romanian media go mad for the Rangers star.Ibrox midfielder Hagi is marrying his long-term partner back home today having been given some time off between Euro 2024 and returning for pre-season with Philippe Clement's team.

He booked it for the same day as the Final – so it's perhaps just as well his country went out at the round of 16 stage rather than going on an unlikely run to the showpiece in Berlin.

Son of Romanian football legend Gheorghe, Hagi is a household name in Romania where they fervently track his career and virtually any major story involving him makes the front and back pages.

But his wedding went even further than that. His big day was broadcast live on TV, and treated much like a Royal Wedding would in the UK.It's reported the TV rights for the Hagi wedding cost broadcaster Direct around £200,000 to air it exclusively.
