Zendaya has joined the Shrek universe! The 28-year-old actress will officially play the role of Shrek’s daughter in Shrek 5. Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, and Eddie Murphy will also return to their roles as Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey. Keep reading to find out more… In a new teaser, which dropped on Thursday (February 27), we catch a glimpse of Zendaya‘s new character, and she has red hair like her mother.

In the clip, Donkey asks the magic mirror who is “the fairest of them all,” to which the mirror responds “Shrek, of course,” and then showed various racy photos of the ogre. “Ew dad!” Shrek’s daughter cries out.

However, Fiona approves of the snapshots. Shrek 5 will be coming to theaters on December 23, 2026. If you didn’t see, last month, it was announced that the production of Shrek 5 was delayed by six months.
