Grocery stores in Delhi will be allowed to operate 24/7 during the lockdown till 14 April, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said today after a meeting with Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and senior government officials.
Soon, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21-day lockdown on Tuesday, there was panic among people over availability of essential goods such as milk, bread, fruits and vegetables.
They started rushing to stores to stock up essentials for the lockdown. Briefing the media, Kejriwal said that Delhi till date has 36 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
