Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan blasted plans to send kids back to school on Good Morning Britain today - saying it's like playing "Russian roulette" .

The GMB star said he is worried about his daughter Elise as he debated whether it's the right decision to send students back on June 1.

Kids would be back in school after almost two months of coronavirus lockdown following Michael Gove's announcement that teachers and children will be as "safe as possible".

Talking about the situation, Piers, 55, said: "I am a worried parent. I've got the cautious view that why don't we give ourselves more time and wait and go back in September." Continuing, Susanna Reid's co-star added: "Why take the risk? "It's very early stages.
