A heart surgeon has revealed the four things he steers clear of to maintain a healthier lifestyle and body. Dr Jeremy London took to TikTok to highlight how certain lifestyle choices can up our risk of serious health issues like cancer and strokes, often without us realising.In his video about the "four things I absolutely avoid as cardiac surgeon", he lists one common habit as the number one enemy: "smoking, no question."He points out that while we're all aware it's harmful, many are oblivious to the non-cancer risks it poses.
He warns: "[It's] The single worst thing you can do for your entire body. It destroys your lungs causes lung cancer, high cardiovascular risks, heart attack and strokes.
Don't smoke."For his second piece of advice, he reluctantly informs viewers that alcohol is on his no-go list. While he supports personal freedom, he personally finds the risks too great.
He explains: "It's toxic to every cell in your body. Your body, your rules you, just decide for yourself. For me personally, removing alcohol from my life is probably one of the most transformative decisions I've made as an adult.
