Lanarkshire mental health charity receives £1,000 donation from Alona Hotel

A Lanarkshire mental health charity received a welcome boost this month as the UK celebrated Mental Health Day with a £1,000 donation from the Alona Hotel.Based in Newarthill, You Are My Sunshine (YAMS) was founded in 2018 by Rhonda Jones, a former Scottish international footballer and currently a Watch Commander in the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.The hotel, which overlooks Strathclyde Country Park, has supported the charity for the past two years through various activities including hosting fundraising events.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
