A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Wythenshawe. It comes after police were called to reports of a serious assault on Royalthorn Road at 6.30pm today.

until he made a drunken mistake Witnesses reported seeing three police cars and a ambulance rush to the scene. Royalthorn Road is cordoned off from the junction of Shayfield Road.
Police hwere seen carrying out door-to-door enquiries as the investigation was launched. In a statement tonight a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 6.30pm this evening we were called to reports of a serious assault on Royalthorn Road, Wythenshawe. "A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains for treatment.
