Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan has appealed to fans for support to combat Ofcom complaints he ‘bullied’ an MP over the government approach to supplying PPE to frontline coronavirus medical professionals.

The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain host got shirty with Helen Whately, the Conservative MP for Faversham and Mid Kent who is also Minister of State at the Department of Health and Social Care, when she appeared on the show last week.

Piers took Helen to task for over the government handling of the coronavirus pandemic and suppling Personal Protection Equipment to medical workers.

The host’s heated line of questioning sparked thousands of complaints to television watchdog Ofcom, but Piers isn’t taking the complaints lying down.
