Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan faces more GMB Ofcom complaints over furious lockdown comments

Piers Morgan has triggered a further 51 Ofcom complaints after the Good Morning Britain presenter fumed over footballers flouting lockdown rules.

The fiery television presenter, 55, has divided viewers over his critical approach during the coronavirus pandemic. In one of his latest criticisms, Piers slammed footballers who have not taken lockdown rules seriously.

The episode received a total of 51 complaints according to the Ofcom report. Although the report doesn't specify what the complaints were made in reference to, the ITV show has accumulated over 488 complaints in the space of a week.
