Manchester restaurants and bars found to be flouting closure orders will be named and shamed, the city's night tsar has warned.

Sacha Lord, Greater Manchester's night time economy adviser said he had heard of a few businesses defying Boris Johnson's orders and secretly 'letting people in via back doors' for lock-ins.

The Prime Minister told restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs they must shut on Friday to help slow the spread of coronavirus. The death toll in the UK now stands at more than 300, and there have been more than 5,600 confirmed cases of the virus now across the country.

Mr Lord tweeted: "This isn't a time to cash in and put lives at risk. DMs are open ... I will name and shame them." Restaurants and bars will face licensing
