Strictly Come Dancing insiders are reportedly fearing that Amy Dowden might have to leave the show after she was rushed to hospital following her live performance with JB Gill this weekend. The 34 year old pro dancer and her JLS partner wowed with a score of 32 for their foxtrot to Dancing In The Moonlight by Toploader on Saturday night (26 October), earning praise from Anton Du Beke as a "super duper performance", while Craig Revel Horwood suggested JB could have delved deeper into his scarecrow role.

However, shortly after their routine, Amy felt unwell and an ambulance was called to the studio 'as a precaution'. A representative for Amy shared: "Amy was feeling unwell and so an ambulance was called as a precaution.

She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern. We request Amy's privacy in matters of health is kindly respected." Amy bravely battled stage three breast cancer after she was diagnosed in May 2023 and is also living with Crohn's Disease, reports the Mirror.

An insider has suggested that Amy may need to leave the series, which is her first since her cancer battle, and a stand-in pro dancer may have to step into her place.
