The UK's coronavirus lockdown looks set to be extended as Brits hunker down for the long haul. Drastic limits on leaving your home will be reviewed by April 16 - but it's clear they won't be lifted.

As coronavirus deaths continue to rocket, they will probably drift on into May at least. A meeting of the COBRA emergency committee today kicked off the process of working out what to do next, chaired by Boris Johnson's deputy Dominic Raab.

But the government isn't planning to actually tighten the law - yet. Instead the focus will be on enforcing the law we already have and making it last longer.

Meanwhile police are preparing for a tough Easter weekend - with threats to search people's shopping and fine anyone going to bask in the sun.
