Andie MacDowell is opening up about her health. During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, the 66-year-old Ready or Not actress revealed that she was been diagnosed with piriformis syndrome, a muscle condition that causes pain or numbness from your lower back down to your feet. Keep reading to find out more…“I have piriformis syndrome, so it’s a muscle that kind of clamps down on my sciatic nerve, and it was shooting down my leg,” Andie shared. “I thought I was going to have to have hip replacement, thank God, my hips are fine,” she added.

While insisting that she’s working on improving her health, Andie said, “I have to work my tiny little bottom and my hips.

I have to work the bottom and work my hip. I just do it every day,” adding that it “doesn’t hurt anymore,” which she says is “a miracle.” “The good news is my pieces are fine,” The Way Home actress noted.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, piriformis syndrome “causes pain or numbness in your butt, hip or upper leg. It occurs when the piriformis muscle presses on the sciatic nerve.
