A girl band member sparked concerns after collapsing during a live show. Pop idol Kotoko, of girl group UNIS, was taken to hospital when they fainted on stage at the Midsummer Night's Cultural Festival: Mini K-POP Concert in Haenam, South Korea on 3 August.

However, in a reassuring update, the 16 year old star broke her silence to confirm she is recovering well following the incident.

In a translated post on Weverse, she wrote: "My physical strength has been restored a lot through rest and stability, so you don't worry." I'll work hard to take care of my stamina.Thank you for your concern [...] I'm all better." F and F Entertainment, the group's label, also provided an update, stating: "After being examined, she is currently resting at the hospital. "We apologise for giving fans cause for concern, and we will do our utmost to make our artist's health our top priority." In a related note, BLACKPINK's Jennie previously discussed the strict rules that K-pop stars must adhere to during training, including abstaining from drinking, smoking, and getting tattoos.

In their 2020 Netflix documentary Blackpink: Light Up the Sky, Jennie shared: "It's really harsh. We were not allowed to drink, smoke or get a tattoo." Recently, Jennie faced controversy and apologised after being filmed vaping indoors.
