A number of lockdown rules in England will be lifted from Monday (June 1) the Prime Minister has announced. Speaking at the daily downing street press conference on Thursday, Boris Johnson revealed a relaxation of some measures.
Mr Johnson said all five steps required to change lockdown measures are being met, but warned he would not 'throw away' the gains already made.
The latest changes are the most drastic since the country went into lockdown on March 23. As of Monday, the government confirmed that schools will reopen, some non-essential retailers can trade, and up to six people can meet outside.
