One viral tweet has more than 8 million views at the time of this posting, along with thousands of comments. It has been claimed that Ariana Grande made 15x the amount of money that Cynthia Erivo was paid, even though Elphaba is the lead and Glinda is a supporting role.

The report even claimed that Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum earned more than her. While some are defending the idea of Ariana earning a lot more than Cynthia because she is a more established star and has pulling power, others rightfully think it’s outrageous that the leads of a project like Wicked would not earn the same amount of money.
