For far too long there has been a misconception that blush is a no-go for those with blemish-prone complexions. As somebody with textured skin who wears a lot of make-up and experiments with loads of different products and formulas, I can agree that powder blushes might not be the most flattering on acne-prone skin as they can look cakey and dry.
However, I can confidently say that if you enjoy adding a pop of colour to your face and your complexion is not what some might consider 'flawless,' liquid blushers are indeed an excellent option. They can elevate your overall look without drawing attention to blemishes and scars and give you that healthy-flushed look that takes your make-up look to the next level.
The key? It's all about blending technique, choosing the right formulas and a little hack that I have decided to not gatekeep (you can thank me later!).
I prefer my blush to make a statement, opting for highly pigmented formulas. However, one of the great things about liquid blushes is their ability to provide buildable coverage, making them a pretty versatile product.
