There was a large emergency services response in east Manchester this afternoon (Monday) after a man died behind the wheel of a car.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the alarm was raised with them regarding the welfare of a man on Ryder Brow Road in Gorton, east Manchester.
The Manchester Evening News understands he was discovered behind the wheel of a small, hatchback car. Paramedics raced to the scene, at the junction with Levenshulme Road near Ryder Brow railway station, including the air ambulance which landed nearby. Officers are said to be investigating whether he suffered a medical episode. A cordon was put in place as police dealt with the aftermath and carried out enquiries into the incident.
