Man arrested after woman rushed to hospital in horror crash

A man has been arrested after a woman was rushed to hospital following a crash in Bolton on Saturday night. Police were called to Ivy Road at around 8:15pm on July 20 following a collision between a pedestrian and a car.

The road was cordoned off as officers carried out enquiries, with paramedics on the scene. Today, police confirmed a woman in her 50s was taken to hospital with injuries that were described as 'not life-threatening'.

The man remains in police custody for questioning. "A woman in here 50s was taken to hospital with injuries that were described as not life-threatening.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of traffic offences and remains in police custody for questioning. "Enquiries are ongoing."
