Doctor Who's Ncuti Gatwa could soon be making his way out of the Tardis as the actor is reportedly yet to confirm his future on the show.The Scottish-Rwandan actor is set to play the sci-fi classic's lead in the soon-to-come season two, but whether he will stay on remains in question.
To add fuel to the fire, Doctor Who showrunner Russel T Davis as said that both BBC and Disney do not currently have Gatwa locked in for next season.The shocking news comes after both Russel and Ncuti along with co-star Millie Gibson appeared at San Diego Comic-Con in California on Friday to promote the new season.
Its plot reportedly leaves Gatwa's future "open-ended", according to US outlets.The Sex Education favourite has spoken of the "pressure" he endured being named the 15th doctor in the long-running BBC show, adding that he has "no idea" if he would continue on for a third season, reports the Mirror.When pushed for an answer, he smiled nervously and glanced at Russell, who confirmed Ncuti’s future as the Doctor remains unclear. “We’ve shot season two, but that’s only halfway through,” said Russell. “We’ve got all those months of post to come.
