Davina McCall's boyfriend has provided an update on her behalf following the TV star’s brain surgery. Earlier today, Davina announced on Instagram that she was undergoing immediate surgery to remove a 14mm benign brain tumor.

In an emotional post, the veteran presenter shared: “I was offered a health scan which I thought I was going to ace, but it turned out I had a benign brain tumor.” She described the condition as "very rare" and asked fans to keep her in their thoughts as she faced the operation.

During her recovery, partner Michael Douglas took over her social media to keep fans updated., reports the Mirror. This evening he reassured followers with a positive update: “An update from me, Michael,” he wrote alongside a text image.

His statement read: “Hey all. Davina is out of surgery, and according to the surgeon, it was textbook! She’s currently recovering in ICU as a precaution.
