Katie Piper has been flooded with support from fans as she offered a health update after spending time in hospital. The TV star ended up in hospital undergoing an 'unexpected medical procedure' which meant she wouldn't be able to host her own ITV show.
The 40-year-old usually presents Katie Piper's Breakfast Show every Saturday and Sunday morning on ITV at 8:25am. But earlier this month, Katie told her followers: "I'm not going to be on my breakfast show this weekend as I've had to have an unexpected medical procedure.
All is well and I hope after some rest I'll be back in the hot seat next weekend!" But Katie's expected speedy recovery didn't go as planned and ahead of last Saturday's (June 15) show, a spokesperson for Katie told The Mirror, said: "Katie’s recovery from an eye operation has taken a little longer than expected so sadly she won’t be hosting her Breakfast Show again this week.
