My Mum, Your Dad star Natalie Russell has taken to social media to share a worrying health update. The star from the popular ITV dating show branded the ‘Middle Aged Love Island’ , which will be returning for a second series , got real with her 54,000 followers on her health, and opened up about feeling lonely.

Using a bikini snap to share her update she said: “I’m going to get real with you….. And use a bikini pic to do it because that’s what seems to get more traction than any quote I may write.” “This pic should be alongside a caption like #livingmybestlife But the truth is whilst I am so so grateful to be sat poolside in the sun, I absolutely am, and it is a life I only dreamed of once and some may never experience, it doesn’t mean that it’s picture perfect." "1) I’m in the middle of a pain flare up in hips, back and legs that’s been waking me out my sleep for weeks and only settles with strong anti inflammatories that are demolishing my stomach.” While Natalie admitted that she felt lonely she continued to reassure fans that she was fine. “I enjoy my own company but in seasons of loneliness it can bring to the surface the feelings of life not quite panning out the way you imagined.” She ended the heartfelt caption with: “I guess what I’m saying is don’t judge your life by other people’s pictures and that also you can both have gratitude and appreciation and also be uncomfortable and going through a process at the same time.” This comes after Natalie found love with cast mate Paul Edwards but the pair later split after the show.

Natalie was one of the last couples standing on the show, finding a true connection with fellow contestant, Paul Edwards, 47.
