Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan accused of using Covid-19 test 'when frontline workers are unable'

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has been accused of taking a test for Covid-19 "when so many front line workers are unable" by Lord Alan Sugar.

The Apprentice business tycoon took to Twitter to question how Piers managed to get test after admit wide spread reports there is a shortage on the front line.

Posing to his 5.3 million followers, Lord Sugar said: "How did @piersmorgan get a test when so many front line workers are unable? "He would be crowing from the roof top if it was another celebrity." Piers is yet to publicly reply to the post.

A rep for Piers Morgan has been contacted by Daily Star Online for further clarification. Last week the government hit their target of testing 100,000 people per day.
