Adele has revealed that she has lost some of her hearing in one ear after battling an infection. The singer opened up about the illness while on stage as part of her Las Vegas residency, taking a moment in the show to explain the ordeal to the audience.Speaking at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace over the weekend, she reportedly told the crowd (via MailOnline): “I have an ear infection, which is pretty grim.

I’ve never had one before. It’s the most painful thing that’s ever, ever happened to me.”“It was worse than childbirth. It’s a rare water bacteria.

It’s very hard to treat,” she added, going on to explain how the road to recovery hadn’t been smooth. “I was on the wrong antibiotics for a few days and they managed to give me one that started to work.

I wanted to chop my ear off a few times.“I’m no longer in pain, which is great but I’m a bit deaf in my left ear.”Only a handful of dates remain on the ‘Weekends With Adele’ run of Vegas shows, with the final coming on November 23.
