The number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is reducing, latest figures show. The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) reported 981 cases in the week to last Saturday, 6 July.
It compares with 1,088 cases reported the previous week. In the week to 6 July, there were 417 hospitalisations and one admission to ICU.
No deaths were reported, according to the HPSC data. The number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is regarded as an underestimate, as only cases referred by GPs or hospitals are covered.
