Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan took to Twitter as CNN host Brooke Baldwin was back on TV after contracting the coronavirus.The Good Morning Britain host shared the good news on Twitter with his 7.4 million followers.The 55-year-old branded his fellow journalist, 40, "genuine" alongside a clip of her emotional introduction.The presenter said COVID-19 had given her a "beating" both physically and mentally, following three weeks off.She struggled to speak as she thanked fans for contacting her during a "scary and lonely" time.Piers previously worked at CNN - the same channel Brooke's been at since 2008 - when he took over from Larry King.The father-of-four shared a tweet by another of CNN's stars, Oliver Darcey, as well as the tearful video.The latter wrote:.
