A spike in hospital admissions and increased pressures in the emergency department were highlighted during an inspection of University Hospital Hairmyres.Healthcare Improvement Scotland has published a report relating to a safe delivery of care inspection visit to the acute NHS Lanarkshire hospital in East Kilbride.The inspection, from March 5-7, inspected the ward and hospital environment; observed staff practice and interactions with patients, such as during patient mealtimes; spoke with patients, visitors and ward staff and accessed patients’ health records, monitoring reports, policies and procedures.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
