Tom Ellis Returns to Netflix, Joins Star-Studded Cast of New Movie 'The Thursday Murder Club'

Tom Ellis is headed back to Netflix for a new movie! The 45-year-old actor, who starred in the Lucifer series that was picked up by the streamer, has been cast in the upcoming film adaptation of The Thursday Murder Club, Deadline reports. Tom is just one of many actors who were just announced to be joining the movie, which is currently filming. Keep reading to find out more… Also new to the cast are Richard E Grant, Geoff Bell, Paul Freeman, Sarah Niles and Ingrid Oliver.

The Thursday Murder Club is being adapted from the 2020 bestselling novel of the same name by Richard Osman.

It “follows a group of friends in a retirement home who gather to solve murders for fun, but find themselves caught in a real case.” Previously announced in the starring roles are Helen Mirren as ex-spy Elizabeth, Ben Kingsley as ex-psychiatrist Ibrahim, Pierce Brosnan as former union activist Ron and Celia Imrie as ex-nurse Joyce.

Also attached are David Tennant, Jonathan Pryce, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays and Henry Lloyd-Hughes.
